How to change the culture, starting with you

Change Culture

I’m having a difficult time understanding the culture in America these days. I mean what are people thinking when it comes to admitting the influence of God in their lives? In many cases it’s as though He doesn’t even exist. And let me be honest, I’m saying “God” here, but what I really mean is Jesus. I sometimes find myself surrounded by people that have seemingly no use for being associated with Jesus in any way, shape, or form – and it troubles me greatly.

Jesus = Religion

jesus = religion

I’m not exactly sure why, but there are times when God likes to shake things up immensely. For instance, the day Jesus was born – when he came down and walked among us – the word made flesh. Now if that wasn’t a shakeup I don’t know what it is. Perhaps his crucifixion and resurrection, that gave us salvation and life everlasting. There are many times when God has shook things up throughout the ages, the great schism, the Reformation, the Council of Trent, Vatican I, Vatican II, stop, let’s talk about Vatican II, or at least that time – the mid 60s.
